Learner Reinstatement Agreement and Behaviour Undertaking
Following the recent decision to withdraw learners from their programme due to breaches of the College’s Behaviour and Conduct Policy, Waltham International College has agreed to offer learners a conditional opportunity for reinstatement..
This reinstatement is issued as a final opportunity and is subject to strict academic, attendance, and behavioural expectations. Continued enrolment is dependent upon full and ongoing compliance with the conditions set out in this document.
1. Student Code of Conduct (Mandatory Compliance)
Learners must comply at all times with the WIC Student Code of Conduct and all College policies and regulations.
Learners acknowledge that they:
- Act as ambassadors of the College on campus, online, and beyond College premises
- Must behave respectfully and professionally towards all staff, students, and visitors
- Must not engage in any conduct that disrupts teaching, learning, or brings the College into disrepute
Any breach will be treated as serious misconduct.
2. Attendance Requirements
- 100% attendance is required for all classes with a minimum of 80%, tutorials, workshops, and assessments.
- Any absence must be supported by valid documentary evidence and approved in line with College procedures.
- Unauthorised absence, lateness, or early departure will be treated as non-compliance.
- • Students are required to adhere to the class and break timing policy.
Failure to meet attendance requirements may result in immediate withdrawal.
3. Behaviour and Conduct Expectations
- Disruptive behaviour, refusal to follow staff instructions, inappropriate language, eating /drinking or any behaviour that interferes with teaching and learning will not be tolerated.
- Chewing gum is strictly prohibited in class room setting.
- This applies to both on-campus and online learning environments.
Any further breach will result in immediate and permanent withdrawal from the programme.
4. Academic Engagement and Assessment Submission
- Learners must fully engage in all teaching, learning, and assessment activities
- All assessments must be submitted on the first attempt and by published deadlines
- Extensions or resubmissions will only be considered where formally approved under College policy.
- Attendance at formative feedback and personal tutor sessions is compulsory. Students must submit their work for formative feedback to the respective tutors in Weeks 3, 6, and 9.
5. Written Apology Requirement
Learners must submit a formal written apology to all tutors involved in their teaching, acknowledging previous behaviour, its impact, and confirming commitment to professional conduct.
6. Monitoring Period
Learners will remain under academic and behavioural monitoring for the remainder of the programme. Any concerns identified may result in immediate disciplinary action.
7. Final Warning
